Flood water remnants contain bacteria
When flood waters rise, they bring with them all types of bacteria and infectious diseases. It is important to properly clean all items and materials that have come in contact with flood waters. Flood water can also leave behind bacteria contaminants that can cause mold or mildew to form quickly after the water recedes. This drive way is an example of that. Mildew began to grow almost immediately following the receding of the flood waters. When we arrived we immediately began to clean the area properly to prevent the spread of these bacterial particles into other areas of the home or yard.
